The Pied Piper isn’t doing too well amid backlash from Lifetime’s scathing “Surviving R. Kelly” documentary.
The Grammy-award winning singer is reportedly suffering from panic attacks as a result of Lifetime’s six-part docuseries that details Kelly’s long history of sexual misconduct and pedophilia allegations.
Sources connected to the embattled singer tell TMZ that Kelly’s panic attacks started in the days leading up to “Surviving R. Kelly” airing last week and have continued. One attack was so serious, he sought treatment at a hospital, TMZ reports.
The sources say doctors have made house visits for the reoccurring episodes that were triggered by the overwhelming backlash Kelly’s getting from celebrities and the general public over the shocking allegations presented in the documentary.
The sources say Kelly is shocked by how most people believe his accusers and knows that his reputation is now tarnished.
The “Ignition” singer still celebrated his 52nd birthday Wednesday night with sources saying he’s looking for any reason to get out of his house because he doesn’t want to seem like he’s hiding, TMZ adds.
