R. Kelly has responded to his eldest daughter calling him a “monster” following Lifetime’s “Surviving R. Kelly” documentary.

According to TMZ, the Pied Piper thinks Joann Lee Kelly has been brainwashed by his ex-wife Andrea Kelly. Despite being estranged from his children for years, sources tell TMZ Kellz isn’t upset with Joann for breaking her silence and calling him a “monster,”.

The Grammy award-winning singer believes his daughter was only mimicking her mother’s views after Drea allegedly brainwashed all 3 of their children into hating him. Kelly’s sources say he loves and misses his children despite having no relationship with them for the past few years.

Joann actually made some music with her father in 2015. But the “Ignition” singer thinks his ex conspired to turn their daughter against him after the two recorded the song. Sources tell TMZ that Drea was reportedly upset after she learned Joann had been in the studio with her father.

The source adds that Drea brought their kids to an R. Kelly concert in Atlanta a couple years ago, but since then he’s had little to no contact with them, and he remains clueless as to what caused the switch.

Drea told TMZ earlier this month that she’s open to Kelly reaching out to their children since they’re all adults now and free to make their own choices. But it looks like Joann has made her decision loud and clear.
